Reusable packaging in natural cosmetics

Reusable packaging and cosmetics – do they go together? And what exactly lies behind this movement? In our journal, we’d like to explain to anyone who’s curious how it came about that, as a natural cosmetics manufacturer, we felt it was our duty to do something about the global waste crisis. And how it’s possible to build a sensible system using glass as a raw material. Here, we’d like to show you just how easy it is to become part of the reusable movement. Choose natural cosmetics in the reusable system!

  1. We fill the jars ourselves and put them on sale. You’ll find our range of skincare products in organic shops, health food shops and fair-trade shops, as well as in pharmacies, and increasingly in zero-waste shops too. If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, or if you prefer to shop online, head over to our online shop!
  2. Once the jars are empty, we’ll take them back. You can return them directly to the retailer or, for quantities of 10 or more (regardless of the type of container – glass jar, glass bottle or metal tin), send them back to us. We’d just ask you to give them a quick rinse before you send them back. As a thank you, we’ll give you a €10 voucher for your next purchase at fair2.me. For retailers taking part in the reusable system, we’ve come up with a different approach; we’ve also summarised the details for you here.
  3. The empty containers are now sent for cleaning. We have a partner who removes any remaining cream residues from the jars and prepares them in accordance with current hygiene regulations.
  4. They can now be refilled with the popular FAIR SQUARED products. As we have opted for a reusable system, the cleaned jars are now returned to the filling process. If the lids and rubber inserts are undamaged, we can reuse them too.
  5. The reusable products go back on sale. Once each container has been refilled with the relevant product, it finds its way back onto the shelves to delight new customers.
