We are guided by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the United Nations. Particularly close to our hearts are the fight against poverty and hunger, clean water, good healthcare and education, gender equality, responsible consumption, climate action, and the protection of life below and on land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How do we put this into practice? For example, through our certified partners and their independent audits: the Fairtrade mark guarantees our producers a fair price plus a premium, which must be used to improve their living conditions. FAIR SQUARED has been a Fairtrade-certified cosmetics brand since 2014. Our Fairtrade ingredients come from Fairtrade-certified producers who meet the Fairtrade standards, including requirements for better prices and working conditions (more info: <a href=\"https:\/\/info.fairtrade.net\/sourcing\">info.fairtrade.net\/sourcing<\/a>). As natural rubber is not one of the Fairtrade raw materials, we are also a founding member of Fair Rubber e.V. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairrubber.org\/\">www.fairrubber.org<\/a>) \u2013 ensuring that our condoms and menstrual cups are also fairly traded. The trips to visit our Fairtrade partners are among the most wonderful moments of our work \u2013 exciting, warm and full of good cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of our products carry the Vegan Society seal (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vegansociety.com\/\">www.vegansociety.com<\/a>): free from animal-derived ingredients. You can see which products are certified in the respective product descriptions. We are also a member of ICADA (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icada.eu\/\">www.icada.eu<\/a>), the International Certification Association for Sustainable Cosmetic and Care Products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WE RELY ON THE POWER OF NATURE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The formulations in our natural cosmetics range avoid genetically modified substances, microplastics, palm oil, mineral oils and petroleum derivatives. And we have been <a href=\"https:\/\/fsc.org\/de\">FSC<\/a>\u00ae-certified for many years (licence number FSC&reg; C137581). The seal stands for responsible forest management and mainly applies to our natural rubber products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We took early action on the current issue of \u2018protecting our resources\u2019: we are among the companies that introduced a reusable cosmetics system many years ago (since 2018). In 2025, our Beauty Bar with this reusable system was exhibited at the German Pavilion at the Expo in Osaka at the invitation of the German federal government. FAIR SQUARED cosmetics are available in glass containers, which we are happy to take back. For example, our Beauty Bars are collected by zero-waste shops, cleaned and reused time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fair trade relationships and a sense of responsibility towards future generations are also central to our principles. What else defines FAIR SQUARED? A multicultural, dedicated team that takes pleasure in working to make the world a little bit better.
