Why ‘FAIR SQUARED’, actually? What’s behind the name.

One question we’re often asked is about our name. People often find it a bit of a head-scratcher, too. And that’s despite the fact that, when we set the company up, we thought it was intuitive and logical. But as everyone knows, it’s easy to get it wrong with things like that. 😉 Well, ‘FAIR SQUARED’ simply means ‘FAIR²’, i.e. FAIR squared. There are now several ideas behind it, all of which fit our defined goal, namely: we want to achieve the very best for our partners all over the world. And because, after several years, we know that Fair Trade really does make a difference, we still proudly carry the word ‘Fair’ in our name. Just as we did when we were founded, we have maintained the international character of our brand and are committed to transparency and creative ideas – not least because we are continuously recertified by external bodies such as Fairtrade, FSC, the Vegan Society and Fair Rubber, and must therefore fully disclose our processes.

Fair as a team – that’s us

Fair trade relationships, environmental responsibility and a firm ‘no’ to child labour – for us, fairness is practised at every level. What else is part of FAIR SQUARED for us? Our team: a diverse mix, from many countries, with a wide range of skills and perspectives. In this way, we bring together not only these but many other wonderful talents within one company, and we’re proud that such charming people as our staff are working together for a good cause.
